Taken directly from the website, they recreate the water. In their words: "By using our proprietary water treatment system, known as “Brooklyn Water Works,” The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co.® can successfully replicate the natural composition of the water that flows through the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York into the homes of Brooklyn residents. This replication is accomplished by filtering local water down to its purest, most natural state, and then adding unique elements found only in our water."
Great bagels. Have lived in Brooklyn and these measure up. I bring a couple dozen home to my mom whenever I fly to Alaska
Great bagel and coffee! A bit of a wait, five minutes. They even have coffee flavored ice cubes!
Best bagel shop! I love the iced coffee ice cubes, and the water from the soda fountain is the best water in the city - coincidentally, it's also the ultra-filtered water they make the bagels with. Their everything bagel is the best because everything sticks to it and there's just a little salt on it.
Small but nice. I don't remember whether there was a restroom or not. I've never been to Brooklyn so I can't speak on how authentic the bagels are. the area has access to everything you could possibly need, including the airport LAX.
Best bagels in Los Angeles hands down. They're the only bagels I've had in LA that are the right texture. Whatever they're doing here is A++
Got back from a trip to NYC and I found this place and fell in love with their bagels. The Bagel omelettes are wonderful but my fave is the Williamsburg bagel, tomato, smoked salmon, cream cheese, and red onion, on your choice of bagel (I get the everything) what more could you ask for! Also the coffee is pretty good here.
Decent bagels and spreads + lox and other toppings. Its no NYC bagel but it'll do for LA.
Coffee was just warm. Cashier was very friendly.
Pretty good bagel and service. Self serve coffee bar had frozen coffee ice cubes which was cool. Would definitely be back for more.
I would have gave it 5 stars if the cold brew coffee wasn't so bad. The picture they have versus the cup you need to prepare yourself are two different items. Now when it comes to the bagels and bagel sandwiches, amazing! Can get pricey but it's good.
A great assortment of breakfast and lunch items, including a variety of coffee choices and bagel sandwiches. Lunch items include sandwiches on fresh baked baguettes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful in the lot behind if there is no parking on Sepulveda.
If you're on your way to the rental car drop-off LAX and don't want to get ripped off from airport food this is the spot!
A bit pricey but good
The young cashier dows not pay attention. Acts as though she needa a hearing aide or better yet she ignors customer and do not speak. Gives a vibe that is definitely not positive. And for that experience this morning i changed my5 stars to 1.
First rate bagels. I don't know about the rest of the food here, but the bagels are really good. I tried an assortment, some of which are hardly authentic old style New York Bagels, but all of them are good. I did like the asiago and jalapeno in spite of myself. The basic flavors, such as egg water and onion, are all up to par. Probably my favorite bagels in Los Angeles right now.
Great Bagel water makes a difference!!!
Great bagels, but poorly managed. Run out of bagels and coffee. Don’t seem to care.
Great staff and great eats. This is my favorite location to visit
Incredible bagels with delicious ingredients! I had the Brooklyn with a cup of coffee and was highly impressed. There is something unique for sure with how they do the bagels.
The bagels are legit. Yes. But they forgot the NY prices and the NY hustle. Everything here is overpriced. Like WAY overpriced. Then if you can somehow against all odds get their employees to understand the complexity of a toasted everything with cream cheese - you have a 60% chance of getting the correct order after a 15 minute wait. Even when there’s no line they somehow find a way to keep you there for 20 minutes and get you to spend 20 bucks. A simple, quick, cheap NY breakfast turned into an expensive time waster of a tourist trap. I’ll just wait to visit home for my bagel fix.
I see why this is the go to bagel spot in the west side. I love their bagel selection and the entire staff is so friendly. So many selections there that I definitely want to return to try more options. I simply had my go to on my visit, which is an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, and avocado...but it was tasty.
Best ny bagel outside of NYC! My favorite bagel place in california hands down!
Somehow not as great as any bagel I ever had in Brooklyn. Not sure why. Maybe it's the butter.
Good bagels good fast service
Authentic New York bagel place, good amount of seating, good coffee selection.
Great coffee and bagels. The bagel has a great consistency and a harder shell. I like that their bagels are not dry like most other bagels on the west coast. It does take some time for your food to come out, so be prepared to wait.
The everything bagel and the jalepeni asiago were tasty. I dont know if the water makes a difference, but I felt like these bagels were pretty similar to others in texture as I could get from around town. Perhaps a bit chewier...? Made a nice snack to munch on during the drive back to the Bay Area.
I wasn't sure what to rate this place. They have a good selection of bagels and they offer gelato as well and different coffee options as well as a coffee ice cube machine. What I didn't like was my 2 plain bagels (2 different days) had a very tough "outside". Way too hard. But the inside was very soft and delicious cream cheese.
Being from NJ, this is as close to home as I have found. Let it rain egg bagels!
Good spot. Love this place
*14 stage water filtration *bagels covered in toppings*a loyalty reward program*friendly service= repeat visits over & over againOh and most importantly...Their bagels just taste better than anything else.⛄
Great New York style bagels - haven't found others than compete.
Super pricey cream cheese and bagels. Super friendly efficient service with the owner on site.
Currently my favorite place to go for coffee and a bagel in ALL of LA! And the bagels *really* do taste almost exactly like the ones back home!! #NYGirlBorn&Raised. Excellent service and great selection for very affordable prices! 👍🏼👍🏼
Cool, close to the airport, in a good area that serves excellent breakfast! Plenty of diet specific options like vege/vegan. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Coffee is also pretty tasty. Try the omelette!
The breakfast bagel and coffee were delicious!
They have excellent service and orders are out in a timely manner as long as it isn't packed.
Not the greatest variety of bagels or toppings, but they have an excellent drink selection as well as AMAZING muffins. I had the chocolate chip muffin and it was so moist and had an amazing structure.
Love the bagels here! Great breakfast stop!
Can't beat warm everything bagels from Brooklyn Water Bagels! Best place to pick up a morning spread for the team.
Lot of Bagel options, portions are pretty big. Loved the coffe ice cubes :)
The food is always fantastic, and the staff friendly and helpful! Especially the Manager Nancy!
Really good bagel. I was actually surprised about how much it really did remind me of bagels I have gotten in New York on Staten island. Not Brooklyn but still. I would definitely come back if I lived around here or ever find another store in the chain. My only wish was that they had hummus to put on bagels.
I've been here a few times great food and the service is fast and friendly.
Popular spot for Westchester residents, especially on weekends. Prepare to stand in line. Excellent Bagel quality. I ordered the standard Lox and cream cheese, and then asked if they could add capers. (It seems strange to me that it does not automatically come with capers.) I paid extra. Disappointingly, there was only a tiny sprinkle.
The bagels were fresh and chewy. This place has very interesting iced coffee, they freeze some coffee to use as ice cubes! The best thing is that they let you mix it yourself and I found it to be delicious
Super good ! Coffee bagels everything!
Hands down the BEST bagels in LA! If your visiting LA, this is a must try. Quality, service, taste and cleanliness is defiantly a 5 star rating. My partner and I were staying at Sixty Beverly Hills and visited Brooklyn Water Bagels every day. The owner was such a lovely man, very well presented and respectable despite the fact we were visiting in the middle of a global pandemic. His positive attitude and kindness did not go unnoticed.
Food is fine, but 45 min wait for a bagel is a bit much.
Very clean and fast. Excellent for breakfast and brunches. Eggs, cheese and sausage on everything bagel is my favorite here.
